iReconcile - Checkbook, Budgeting, & Reporting App Reviews

Developer has clearly abandoned this app and it shows. Have used this for years because Ive liked it better than the alternatives, but Im afraid its time to move on. Buggy, crashes, hangs, doesnt sync or export smoothly, if at all. Dont trust your financial information to an unsupported app.

...but it no longer seems supported by developers & there are now sync issues - found a better, cheaper app anyway. Adios.

Ive been using this app for years and I love it. It is by far the best checkbook app Ive seen on the App Store. However, I really wish the developer would update this app for the latest iDevices and iOS!

Why can we not search for an amount? My husband and I use this checkbook and it has worked perfectly for us since we started using the sync feature. Just wish we could search for an amount, or a memo would be great as well. How about a date range? Then Id give this app a 5 star rating.

Oct24-15- Not supported Want I want to know is why does Apple allow these type of apps to exist on their store? Its obvious from the reviews this is a "dead" app and no longer supported by the developer so why the potential for further revenue to that developer by folks that dont read reviews first!! Customer no service still has not responded to my requests to update this app! DO NOT BUY Oct2015- Do not buy. Stopped exporting data. Sent message to "support" which is nonexistent. !! Do not get. Like others I enter data and can check in just a few moments and the entries are gone. I use sync feature and after the above my entries are doubled on my iPad. I try to erase doubled amounts but then it throws my other device out of balance. Hate it now.

I have downloaded a lot of financial apps and this one is the best!

Bought this app a while ago and was happy with its functions. But this app has not been updated since 2013! Many functions are no longer working. Seems the developer(s) have walked away and left the users hanging high and dry. Now I am forced to look for alternative apps and deal with data migration. Not happy at all!

I used ireconcile for years until the servers had some downtime for part of a day and my account somehow got locked out. Id been looking for a replacement that syncs but was having troubles finding one. The devs for ireconcile have deserted this app. Its time for all of us to move on. I found an app called Home Budget. It is great and you dont have to pay yearly server fees to sync. There is a free version so check it out. Its laid out quite differently than ireconcile. It after some time to adjust youll never look back.

I used the software a couple of years ago and it worked. Now, it does not post transactions correctly and is worthless. I have contacted support via email twice this week but have not had a reply. Im going to try another product.

Its a crap app. Please dont waste your money and time.

I have used this app for several years now. When it is working properly, it is amazing. However, every few months it stops syncing with the database and I have to delete the app and re-download it. Not a huge problem, but I end up having to re-enter a lot of data that didnt get backed up while it failed. If it wasnt for that one downfall, I would give it five stars in a heart beat.

I have had this app for 4 years now. It was great in the beginning but now it is horrible. You cannot get feedback for support. Their website is now down! YES DOWN! I chose to redo load my data because that has worked in the past and I lost ALL THE DATA IN MY CHECKBOOK...I wish iTunes would say something to these people. I have paid a lot of money over the past 4 years to the management company for this app and when I need it, it doesnt work. I am done! You hear that IRECONCILE?! Done! DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS APP!

I love this app. It is by far the best checkbook app out there.... Wondering when they will have an Apple Watch app, that would make my day!!!

Yes, this app is not perfect, but close. Been using it for years since its been out and look ahead feature is something I depend on dearly. Cant think of a better way of seeing where your money is going and plan ahead. I dont normally write reviews on apps but just had to say that I appreciate the hard work put in it and the fact that you guys still working on making it better. Thank you.

UPDATE to Earlier Review... This app is awesome. I have tried several financial/accounting apps. I love iReconcile and used to use it exclusively! Im afraid the publisher is not putting much effort of late to maintain / improve stability of the app... Still works wonders, but Im keeping my records in another all as well for assurance. I hope they will use the $20 per year I and others pay for the sync feature as incentive to keep the app current. The sync feature is awesome. It assures NEVER losing your entries AND makes things printable. Try it... Youll REALLY Like It!!!

I have been using this app for years and havent seen an update in almost 3 years! The app has several know issues like the app not syncing transaction you input so you think you put in a receipt and go to balance ur checkbook and BAM its not balanced and you find the several receipts you know you inputted that arent there. I have been forced to continue to use this app because no other app I have come across allows syncing over a server to share account information with my wife. Once I find a new app that allows sharing easily between my wifes phone and mine I will ditch this app, **UNLESS** the developer starts pushing updates to fix known issues and gives subscribers a reliable product we r paying over 20$ a year for each account. I will update my review when the developer updates their product.

I PAID FOR THE SYNCHING SERVICE… IT DOES NOT SYNC ACROSS MY IPAD AND IPHONE 6S. USELESS NOW. WHAT’S THE POINT OF HAVING THIS STUPID APP IF AND PAYING EXTRA ONLY TO FIND OUT IT’S TERRIBLE!! DO NOT PAY FOR THE BACKUP/SYNC SERVICE… IT DOES NOT WORK!!!!!

We have used it for a long time and it was great. A month ago it kept subtracting a deposit and messing up the total so I started over. Today I went back and was able to check every transaction and the app comes up with a wrong total. Because its a new ledger I can check and see that every single transaction is in there. It subtracts a deposit again even when Ive deleted that deposit. This app has serious issues. Im looking for something new.

SAVE YOUR MONEY. Disclaimer:. I LOVED this app from the beginning - Ive used it for about 5+ years. (Its actually the only reason I have apple products & not Droid - it was only available for Apple.) Unfortunately, its no longer supported. I paid for yearly sync-backups. I havent been able to make a backup since Sept, 2015. I would pay more just to get great service. It splits transactions in a very user-friendly way, but now Im being forced to find its replacement because if a glitch occurs, Im sunk with no backups. If the developer begins supporting this app again, Im back. I hope that happens, but Ive been hoping that (& contacting Atomic ware with no success) for a few months now. Please bring it back!

Have issues with this app. Was using it for years and get errors loading backup account. Emailed customer service 5 months ago, no reply. Emailed last week, no replys. Such horrible customer service. They take your money but give nothing for service issues.
